The worst day of the year.
It marks one more year of constant failures and self sabotage.
One more year of senseless stupid purchases.
One more year of failing relationships.
One more year of drinking too much coffee and smoking too much.
One more year of being an ass.
One more year of completely ignoring my need to return to my psychoanalyst.
One more year of not going after the things I really want for my life.
I’m going to have a cigarette, a slice of chocolate cake, some wine, some Prozac and go to bed.
But I have Nietzsche, so all is well.

Nietzsche looks pretty chill. I’m not a super big fan of b’days. I try to use it as a “clean slate” date - guilt free start over point. And I would really like to back a 911 into a corner like that at some point in my life - honestly not a bad visual, the corner is done, he’s caught it from going all the way around and the throttle is on the floor.

I strongly encourage returning to your psychoanalyst and going after the things you really want your life.
I need to return to my psychoanalyst. Try hard to live the life you really want, I’ve gotten much better at this, this past year and I am much much happier.

As many others have said, think hard about going back to your therapist. [You don’t give us details but maybe if you don’t really feel like going back you should consider changing your therapist: after all, it’s not unlike going to the dentist, you have to find the one that suits you.]
Nietzsche is a good reason to keep going, although I suspect you already know that. But do realise that to better take care of that wonderful dog (or any person you feel affection for) you also need to take proper care of yourself first. Do it for Nietzsche, do it for your loved ones, if not for you.
Lastly, and very belatedly, happy birthday. I hope you like the link, even if it still a few hours away, so to speak.
